"He was here again, wasn't he!"
It had all seemed like a Harper's tale at first.
Impressing a queen, falling head over heels in love with one of the bronzeriders... and, like most Harper's tales, everything had fallen apart in the second act.
It still suprised her that it was M'ton who was struggling to cope, weyrbred M'ton, who'd won his fair share of green flights in the past. Maybe he wouldn't have been so jealous under other circumstances, but there was a gold egg on the sands this time, Alaireth's first.
She sighed, knowing there was no good answer.
