Well, the worst is over.

Everything went as well as it could have done today, the pregnancy came away cleanly, and I've been given the all-clear and discharged from the Hallamshire. Not a pleasant experience, but we've got some sense of closure from it.

Goodbye, little Roo.

Okay - one. *Hug*. Not sure what good a virtual hug can do, but there you go *wink*. Two. If you don't mind my asking - what now?

Thanks for the hug. Virtual or not, they do a lot of good.

On a physical level, recovery should be fairly swift. The bleeding should ease off over the next ten days or less, and should be fairly manageable. We've got an appointment with miscarriage support in four weeks time, just to check how we both are physically and mentally. As far as family planning goes, we've been recommended to leave it for at least one cycle... for a first trimester loss, we did get a decent way in. At that point, I'm not sure whether we'll go straight back on the drugs or not. I think I'd like to let my hormones settle down a bit before sending them off on the clomid rollercoaster again.

Overall... We'll get there in the end, and will be stronger and wiser when we do. First though, we'll take this chance to catch our breath, and appreciate all that we already have.

((((((Kath))))) Glad to hear it well, medically speaking. Wish there was more I could offer besides a virtual hug.
