Yes, I've had the privilege...
Father went to college - I'm sure Dartmouth naval college counts
Father finished college - naturally
Mother went to college - this one I'm not so sure of. Does secretarial college count?
Mother finished college - yes, I guess.
Have any relative who is an attorney, physician, or professor. - I don't think so.
Were the same or higher class than your high school teachers - probably
Had more than 50 books in your childhood home - had more than 50 books myself, thankyouverymuch!
Had more than 500 books in your childhood home. Probably about that.
Were read children's books by a parent. Every night. I didn't take a cuddly toy to bed, I put a book under my pillow.
Had lessons of any kind before you turned 18 Ballet, Piano, flute, speech & drama
Had more than two kinds of lessons before you turned 18. See above
The people in the media who dress and talk like me are portrayed positively
Had a credit card with your name on it before you turned 18 I went to University aged 17. Barclaycard were eager to get their hands on my future debts. Ha! More fool them...
Your parents (or a trust) paid for the majority of your college costs. No tuition fees back then, but Mum and Dad paid all the essentials - i.e. accommodation, textbooks and enough extra for food. They did expect receipts though!
Your parents (or a trust) paid for all of your college costs I guess so - I raised my own funds during the summer to pay for luxuries, but I could have existed without the extra.
Went to a private high school. Had to - it was that or the American School... and we were still going to move again after that, so boarding school was the obvious option. The Navy did pay most of the costs though.
Went to summer camp. I think week-long non-residential summer activity centres count, as do Guide Jamborees and camping trips.
Had a private tutor before you turned 18. For Further Maths A-level, yes. He was dead smexy too!
Family vacations involved staying at hotels. Hotels, or B&Bs, or self catering. You name it, we tried it.
Your clothing was all bought new before you turned 18. Nope. There were plenty of hand-me-downs from my cousin Fiona.
There was original art in your house when you were a child. Oh yes. Gave me a taste for collecting, that did.
Had a phone in your room before you turned 18 Nope. Not an option. I got a mobile whn I got my car, but not before then.
You and your family lived in a single family house. Yup.
Your parent(s) owned their own house or apartment before you left home. Yup. Mortgage paid off before I was in sixth form.
You had your own room as a child Yes, though Sarah and I did share out in Italy - but we had a playroom then as well.
Participated in an SAT/ACT prep course. I had extra classes to prepare me for the Oxford entrance exam, which is pretty equivalent I reckon.
Had your own TV in your room in High School Nope. This was a BIG no-no.
Owned a mutual fund or IRA in High School or College. Huh? I had several savings accounts/bonds with the building society.. not sure on this one.
Flew anywhere on a commercial airline before you turned 16. We moved to Italy when I was 9. Naturally.
Went on a cruise with your family. I don't think a week on the VIKING WARRIOR canal boat counts.
Went on more than one cruise with your family
Your parents took you to museums and art galleries as you grew up. Very much so.
You were unaware of how much heating bills were for your family Who pays attention to that as a kid?
